Jessup in Boulder City will reveal that Benny betrayed him and his fellow Great Khans after intercepting the Courier, later traveling to New Vegas and leaving them to fend for themselves when cornered by the NCR. The Khans, anxious to get paid and move on, told Benny to hurry up in finishing the Courier off, but Benny responded that he, unlike the Khans, felt he at least owed the people he killed to look them in the eye before he did it. The Courier regained conciousness just as the work was about to finish up. The Courier was caught off-guard by the ambush and was rendered unconscious, and was then bound and gagged and dragged by the group to the Goodsprings cemetery, where Benny immediately send the Khans to work on digging a grave to dispose of the Courier. Although at first Benny suggested they should leave Chance's corpse out to rot, the other Khans, offended by his callous comment, intimated him into allowing them to take a break to give their fallen tribe member a proper burial.ĭespite the delay, the group finally managed to intercept Courier Six, who was carrying the platinum chip, on the night of October 11, just north of Goodsprings. The group made a perilous journey through the badlands south-west of Vegas, where a run-in with the Fiends cost Chance his life. Using Yes Man, Benny was able to discover the route each courier was taking, and hired a group comprised of Great Khans: Jessup, McMurphy, Chance and some others, to help him finish the job. It was revealed to Benny that there were seven couriers hired by Victor six decoys, and one carrying the actual Platinum Chip. He learned President House had something buried underneath Fortification Hill, and he learned of the Platinum chip the key to all of House's plans. No sooner than her the work was completed, Benny kicked Emily out of the Tops and barred her from entering the casino again. After finishing the reprogramming, the Securitron became Yes Man, an AI designed to obey every command given to him, which Benny used to interrogate him on the details of House's machinations. During this time, him and Emily even became briefly sexually involved, much to Emily's later regret. Unable to fix it himself, he allowed Follower of the Apocalypse Emily Ortal to look at it in exchange for her reprogramming it. The chances of such a thing happening seem slim, but as Benny himself would say, he is not done rigging the odds yet. Benny is seen to be cautious of the Chairmen who still support the old ways, even killing an old friend, an unnamed singer with a Psycho overdose, to stop further dissent.īenny's long-term goal is simple: control of New Vegas. Benny's later misbehavior took any chance of that away, which resulted in him being targeted by his former boss. House for quite some time, and was even being groomed as Mr. House's rule, and had the tribe transition into the Chairmen. Though Bingo was the strongest member of the tribe, Benny was nimbler than him, which proved to be an advantage when Bingo attempted to lunge at Benny, he was able to handily dodge the attack and stab Bingo in the neck, thereby killing him and becoming the new chief of the Boot-Riders. Benny disagreed with Bingo, and was challenged to a knife-fight the winner becoming leader of the tribe. However, the tribe's chief at the time, Bingo, wanted to stay nomadic and away from external rule. Benny saw the potential of New Vegas, and was all for working for Mr. The Boot-Riders were assigned to renovate The Tops casino, and were given suits and ties, as well as being renamed "The Chairmen". ![]() House began gathering tribes to renovate the New Vegas Strip, and the Boot-Riders were one of the three tribes which agreed to House's new rule. ![]()
